FAQ

01

Do I really need therapy?

If you’re here, chances are high that you’ve been struggling with something and haven’t been able to find relief and/or the issue has begun to impact your functioning in a noticeable way, so it’s possible therapy can help.

02

Can I receive therapeutic services here?

Because therapists are licensed only in the state of Illinois, to receive services at Reclaiming Hope Wellness Center, you have to be an Illinois resident and either have an Illinois-based insurance we accept (see question 4 below) or want to cover the cost of services yourself (see our Good Faith Estimate for costs for service if self-paying).

03

What are your fees?

Fees to see a therapist at Reclaiming Hope Wellness Center start with two Psychiatric Assessment sessions to provide a diagnosis and help co-create your Treatment Plan. Each is $230. Follow-up sessions are: 30-minute sessions are $90 each, 38-52-minute sessions are $150 each, and 53-60-minute sessions are $180 each. Group therapy is $50 each group session. Crisis counseling is $45 per 15-minutes. How many sessions you’ll need will be determined by what your goals are and how fast you’re able to reach them. Please see our Good Faith Estimate for more information if you are self-paying.

04

Do you accept my insurance?

We currently are able to accept Aetna, Aetna Better Health (Medicaid), Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Community Health (Medicaid), Cigna/Evernorth, Meridian (Medicaid), and Optum/United Healthcare. We are currently in the process of attempting to contract with other private insurance as well as Medicare. If we do not currently accept your insurance and/or are Out of Network, we’d be happy to provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement for services you pay upfront for as payment is due when services are rendered.

05

What if I can’t afford services?

We do offer limited sliding scale spots for those whose need of mental health services would create an undue financial burden. Please ask your clinician for more information.

06

Is there anything I need to do before the first session?

Yes! You will receive an email with access to our client portal. In that portal will be the paperwork that is required for you to complete 24 hours before the initial session.

07

What will the first visit be like?

All services are currently virtual, so you are invited to find a comfortable and private spot in your home where you will not be interrupted or overheard. During this session, we will go over the paperwork you completed more in-depth as you and your therapist get to know each other and your reasons for wanting services. You will be able to talk about your struggles and your goals to ensure you’ll receive the best care possible.

08

How will I know if I have the right therapist?

Something drew you to the practice, so trust your gut and let’s see if we can support your needs. If either your therapist is thinking they may not have the skillset you need to help you reach your goals or you just aren’t feeling it, we will provide referrals to other professionals.

09

Will you write me a letter for (fill in the blank)?

Maybe. You must be a client and receive mental health services at the practice for a minimum of six months for a therapist to consider writing any letter for you. Writing that letter must be in your best interest and meet ethical standards in the field. Your therapist has the right to refuse doing so and would discuss that decision with you.

10

What’s the best way to reach you?

Please use the form on the Contact Us page. We respond to email within 24 hours Mondays-Fridays (not including holidays). If this is an emergency, please dial 911 or have yourself safely transported to an emergency room.

11

Can therapy cure my fear of clowns?

Unfortunately, there’s no magic cure for coulrophobia (fear of clowns), but therapy can help you develop coping strategies and reduce your anxiety around this particular fear. However, if you want to avoid clowns altogether, we can definitely respect that!
